Pi Lo Chun Tea (or Bi Luo Chun tea) is a variety of Green Tea from the Dongting mountains in China.

The tea is grown in the shade of apricot, plum, and peach trees, and the tea leaves absorb the delicate scent of the fruit blossoms. The original name for the tea translated to English was “scarily fragrant”. The translation of Bi Luo Chun is “green snail spring”, as the tea leaves are rather uniquely rolled into a snail shape before packaging.

The tea is harvested in the short time period between the Spring Equinox (in late March) and early April. This Pi Lo Chun Green Tea has a light flavor and aroma, and is not as “grassy” as some other Green Teas.
